Fund Development

As a former executive director, I understand the critical relationship between successful fundraising and program implementation. When I work with you on fund development, I align an organization’s existing capacity and strategic goals for growth. My experience managing the complete organizational cycle—from strategic planning and budget management to program development and evaluation—allows me to create funding strategies that strengthen an organization’s financial sustainability as well as its programmatic effectiveness.

Focusing on Means to Achieve Good Ends

As a former executive director, I understand and care how organizations are run I know that to get to good ends, we have to pay attention to our means. We have to look squarely at how power is apportioned and exercised internally, and measure and learn from regular impact assessments. To help leaders and organizations, I center love as a driver for change. Love, like water, is necessary for life, seems so simple, and yet can carve canyons out of rocks. That's why you'll always see me fore-fronting our common humanity whether I'm conducting an evaluation, facilitating a retreat, engaging in fund development or mediating a conflict.
